It is also very illuminating to learn the context of some of
‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s well-known comments and the fact that some of them were given in
response to journalists’ questions.

This website is clearly the fruit of extensive research over
and above Allan Ward’s book, 239 Days: ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s Journey in America.

Many thanks indeed for undertaking this project, Jonathan. It
appears to be a wonderfully “befitting” resource for this centennial
year, and I look forward to digesting all its content.

Indeed, this account of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s first day in North
America, with its focus on Wendell Phillps Dodge’s initiative, is very evocative and engages
the reader right from the start.
